Help with Parallel Texts of Ogura Hyakunin Isshu

Scrolling: Use the bars at the right of each of the frames (Japanese, Romaji, and English) to scroll through the text. When you find a poem you are interested in, you can click on the indicators beneath the poem to go to the same poem in the other two frames. For example, scroll to poem 9 in the Japanese frame. Beneath the poem click on "Romaji" and "English" to display poem 9 in the other two frames.

Resizing the frames: Move the cursor over the border of a frame until the cursor changes to the shape of parallel bars. Hold down the left button on your mouse, and drag the border right or left, up or down, to make the frame whatever size you wish.

Searching: Click on "Search" beneath each poem. A word or character search is currently performed on each instance of your search term in the entire poem, including author. For example, searching for "yama" in Romaji brings up 22 hits, 21 within poems and one in a name (Yamabe no Akahito).

Back: The easiest way to return to previous screens is to use the Back icon on your browser.
