The JTI e-text is based on a Takeda-bon manuscript, which also served as the copy-text for the following print source: Ise monogatari eiinbontsuki, revised edition, edited by Yamada Kiyoichi (Tokyo: Hakuteisha, 1978).

The manuscript text is reproduced without change, with the exception of substituting 鶯 for an unavailable kanji at the beginning of the second poem of section 121. Errors in the manuscript are not emended in this e-text.
